In 2020, musician and performer, Phoebe Hunt began putting together an idea, that parents could become their child’s beginner ukulele teacher and create a culture with less screen time and more quality time within their homes.

With her background knowledge of Montessori practices, professional musicianship and experience with teaching music to children, ukulele SPROUTS began to take shape. 

This unique program is based on the idea that with an intentional approach to creating the environment within the home, parent training and music curriculum, the caregiver and child could learn side by side and experience quality connection all while learning one of the best instruments for introducing music to the home and the family.

Fast forward to 2023, what started as a simple mission to bring music into homes, grew into a thriving community of parents and caregivers, especially mothers, that found music to be a transformational tool in their homes, hearts and relationship with music. 

We now have over 50 families who have moved through the Parent Teacher Training Program, many of whom are ready to bring what they have learned into their community, beginning their own Ukulele SPROUTS Studios.
